Corporate support for Afghanaid

There are many ways in which companies can support Afghanaid at little or no cost to themselves. As the majority of cutting edge business now realise, Corporate Social Responsibility is no longer a ‘perhaps' but a ‘must have' in their business strategy.

Here are some of the ways that your business can partner with Afghanaid. These are by no means exhaustive. We have an enthusiastic small team here in the UK who are eager and ready to discuss any ideas you or your staff may have and help shape a sucessful future partnership.

Make us your charity of the year

Making Afghanaid your charity of the year encourages employees to get involved with a wide range of tailor made activities, helping them to contribute towards a worthy cause and boosting their morale. It also positions you strongly with your clients as an organisation that takes Corporate Social Responsiblity seriously.

Our corporate fundraiser will help you meet your corporate social responsibility goals by working with you to create a bespoke corporate package suited to your organisations needs.

Amongst other areas, we organise events throughout the year andhave places in many UK challenge events. We will work with you to create exciting and challenging events for your staff. Afghanaid has places in the London Marathon each year, we will consider group applications for these places if runners are supported by a corporate sponsor.

Organise a fundraising event with us

Afghanaid is well experienced with organising and running sucessful and high profile events ranging from Afghan briefings and film screeenings, to larger photo exhibitions and cultural parties. We have links to many interesting individuals, from authors to photographers who kindly reguarly help us by talking at these events. By partnering with us we can work together to build the perfect event for you.

Additionally, if you want to take the lead, we're well versed in helping you make your own fundraising event and can help support you with ideas, resources etc.

- Organise a Green Tea Party for your staff, we can send you a Green Tea Pack and all you have to do is pick a time, invite some team members and put the kettle on.

- Have a 'dress down' day on a Friday and ask all staff to donate £1

Raise funds for free

Recycle4Charity is a company that recycles ink cartridges and mobile phones and then donates Afghanaid a portion of their recycled value. They provide us with envelopes for you and your staff to put your old mobilephones and printer cartridges in.

It is now a legal obligation for some business' to dispose of their electronic waste in a responsible manner. This scheme not only allows you to fulfill this obligation, it also raises valuable funds for Afghanaids work at no cost to you.

Publicity

Afghanaid will publicise anycorporate relationship through its website and newsletter. Afghanaid has asignificant web presence which has recently been expanded to a new interactivewebsite. Gifts in Kind

We are a small office with a limited budget, if your business has any products which we could use for example in a raffle or employee's who's time could be donated, please consider contacting us.

Directly fund our projects

Currently Afghanaid is trying to replenish it's worn 4x4 vehicle fleet. These vehicles help provide us with a lifeline to remote communities. Would your business consider sponsoring part or all of the cost of a vehicle?

Payroll Giving

Many employers encourage their employees to start contributing to charity via payroll giving as this is a tax efficient method of supporting charities. We can come in and give a presentation on how this works andthe benefits to your organisation.

Host a Collecting Tin

This year we're launching a scheme for small enterprises to assist with fundraising for Afghanistan. Whatever your turnover, if you have a regular influx of customers who may be willing to part with some small change to put towards a good causes than consider hosting one of our collection tins.

With so many Afghan and Asian Business in the UK we are initially running this as a pilot project in the London area.
