How can you help?
There are many ways of supporting our work both financially and in kind.
Fundraising for Afghanaid
Looking for inspiration? There are endless possibilities if you would like to help Afghanaid raise money, from parties and sports events to car boot sales:
Barn dance: Organise an evening of dancing and music in a barn setting!
Concert: Organise a fundraising concert in your community!
Car-bootsale: Get rid of unwanted possessions and clear out your attic!
Dinner party: have a dinner party for your friends and charge £10 each.
Disco: Organise an evening of dancing and music!

Karaoke: Why not organise a karaoke night and test out those vocal chords?
Matched giving: Ask your company to match the amount raised in a certain sponsored event. If the company is not willing to match everything suggest that they can match up to a certain amount e.g. £500 or £1000.
Odd clothes Day: Dress up in your silliest clothes and get sponsored!
Quiz night: Arrange a quiz night!
Raffle: Hold a raffle!
Restaurant meal: Arrange an evening in a local restaurant with a £10 menu and charge £20.
Sponsored shave: Persuade a friend (or yourself) to shave their head/ legs/ sit in a bath of custard!
Sponsored silence: Try seeing how long you can keep quiet and be sponsored for it! Or see how long your chatty friend can keep quiet!
Sponsored non-uniform day: Ask your local school to hold a sponsored non-uniform day.
Sport tournaments: Organise a football (or sport of your choice) tournament and charge an entrance fee.
Yacht race: If you don't have the real thing why not compete with home made paper boats!
