Green Tea Party
Some say all major decisions in Afghanistan happen over a cup of tea. Tea drinking is a way of life for Afghans regardless of age, gender or status.
TV presenter Konnie Huq travelled to Afghanistan to see Afghanaid’s work and to make an appeal programme for BBC (you can view the video here by clicking here). She said, “everywhere I went people would insist that I drink green tea with them and made me feel that we'd been friends for years.”
Green tea is becoming more popular around the world because of its reported health benefits – everything from lowering cholesterol to treating headaches and depression. Now you can enjoy these health benefits, socialise with friends and help support Afghanaid’s vital work in Afghanistan by hosting your own Green Tea Party.
