Trek in Afghanistan

Climb Afghanistan’s highest peak and raise money for Afghanaid!

At 7453m, Mount Noshaq lies in the far North East of Afghanistan, in an area steeped in history and until recently off-limits.  Climbed for the first time by a Japanese team in 1960 and by locals only in 2009, this truly is a pioneering expedition and the first commercially-operated one of its kind.  After exploring The Source of the Oxus in 2010, Secret Compass is delighted to return to the Wakhan Corridor with one of the 2009 Afghan mountaineers and a hugely experienced international guide.

If you would prefer to keep your feet somewhat closer to the ground, how about exploring The Ice Caves of the Wakhan on foot and by horseback instead?  Both expeditions take place in summer 2012.  For more information, please visit www.secretcompass.com or call +44 (0) 20 3239 8038 (UK) or +1 347 6900182 (US) and quote ‘Afghanaid’.
