We are raising money for Afghanaid and we would love your support! For close to 40 years, Afghanaid has worked with millions of vulnerable Afghans across Afghanistan, providing them with the training and tools they need to help themselves, their families and their communities.

Earlier this month the Taliban have reclaimed power and are in control of all key cities in the country, including Kabul. Even prior to the escalation of the conflict, more than 18 million people required urgent humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. Thousands of people are now fleeing their homes and country, in a desperate fight for survival. The escalated violence is shattering the country by the hour and immediate action is required. Emergency responses are vital for the people of Afghanistan and so our aim is to raise money to support families who have lost their homes and their livelihoods. To do this, we are going to walk 70 km across two days, camping overnight. People who are forced to flee their homes rely on refugee camps in order to provide temporary accommodation, we do not compare our venture in any way to the distressing conditions they are exposed to but want it to be in some way a symbolic act of solidarity. It is indisputable that camping for one night in a country as safe as our own is utterly incomparable to the extreme conditions refugees are faced with, but our aim is to spread awareness of current Afghan refugee challenges.

Afghanaid need to support to respond to this humanitarian crisis to deliver life-saving assistance Afghan citizens are in urgent need of. Your support could really make a difference to those who need it most. Please donate what you can today and help Afghanaid continue their work and support vulnerable Afghans for generations to come. Thank you!
