After learning about las niñas esposas (or child brides), we want to help provide financial assistance to women and young girls in Afghanistan in an effort to decrease the need for families to sell their young daughters in exchange for money. We recently learned that we can be the voice for those in need through our artwork and our activism, and this is one of the ways we want to help Afghan women and girls, by spreading the message in our community about this injustice. Artist Tonya Blue Shelby inspired us to create collages by telling us to "use what was given to create something else for those who cannot speak for themselves." Coupled with the art we created to bring awareness about the issue, we also want to fundraise on their behalf.

For close to 40 years, Afghanaid has worked with millions of vulnerable Afghans across Afghanistan, providing them with the training and tools they need to help themselves, their families and their communities. Your support could really make a difference to those who need it most. Please donate what you can today and help Afghanaid continue their work and support vulnerable Afghans for generations to come. Thank you!
