Get Involved Other Ways to Give Support another Appeal Sowing the seeds of a healthier future: a gardener's story The vast majority of Afghan families are reliant on farming as their main source of income. Sadly, it is becoming harder and harder to make a living off the land in Afghanistan, placing an increasing burden on the poorest, already struggling, communities. Afghanaid works with men and women across the country to give them the training and equipment they need to lift themselves, and their families, out of devastating poverty. For many of us, the festive season is a time spent sharing meals with our loved ones so, this Christmas, please read Mohammad’s story and help more vulnerable Afghans put food on their families’ plates all year round, giving them the gift of a healthier future. How your support can help In 2017, our agriculture projects supported almost 29,000 men and women. It costs £16.45 for one week of gardening training for one of these people. A regular gift will help us to plan ahead and enable more people to become fully trained in establishing and cultivating a vegetable garden so that they can provide for their families. Mohammad's Story Please make a donation this winter and help more vulnerable Afghan families put food on the table all year round.
