Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Many of you will know that I lost my beloved Dad last summer. He was a man known for many incredible things, and particularly relevant to this, was him being known as the man who got us swimming from the earliest of ages, who swam and played water polo for Great Britain.

In honour of Dad, I wanted to set myself a swimming challenge, so over the next 28 days I will be swimming the equivalent of the English Channel, 34km, at Clevedon Marine Lake. This is the equivalent of 1360 lengths of a standard pool, and the lake is much colder!

The recent news of what is happening in Afghanistan has affected us all in many different ways. It seems incomprehensible to me that people can be living, and treated in this way.

I’m hoping that this sponsored swim will raise some much needed funds for Afghanaid and their Afghanistan Crisis Appeal. Their aim is to provide urgent, life-saving assistance to men, women and children in Afghanistan who have been affected by conflict.

I would be grateful for your sponsorship for this very worthy cause and thank you in advance for your support.
