The current crisis has unfolded against an existing crisis in Afghanistan: the climate crisis. Amidst ongoing insecurity and uncertainty in the country, and as part of the Climate Coalition's Great Big Green Week, please join Afghanaid for the exclusive first screening of our timely new film, A Source Of Hopeon Thursday 23rd September from 6PM - 7PM GMT at the Close-Up Cinema, Shoreditch.

The short film illustrates the growing impacts of climate change, natural disasters and extreme weather in Afghanistan; the rural communities who are at the forefront of protecting themselves and their livelihoods against these threats; and our work leading the Afghanistan Resilience Consortium to support climate action in Afghanistan.

Short talks will cover the wider unfolding humanitarian crisis in the country, the need for urgent funding from the international community in this time of utmost need and to protect the hard earned development gains achieved over the last 20 years, such as the important progress made in climate action. There will also be an opportunity to get any questions you might have answered.

If you have any questions about the event, how to buy tickets, or any aspect of work, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We look forward to welcoming you!

If you are unable to join us, we will be making the film available online in the coming weeks. Sign up to be notified when it is released online!
