Get Involved Fundraising London Marathon Looking for your next challenge? Join us for a once in a lifetime experience and run for Afghanaid in the 2021 London Marathon! Take part in the world's most famous marathon and help vulnerable Afghans live free from poverty. Here are our fantastic runners - Joompote, Derek and Richard - who took on the virtual 2020 London Marathon. There are two ways to join Team Afghanaid: 1. Ballot Places The Virgin Money London Marathon operate a ballot for their places. If you are one of the lucky few to get a ballot place, we would love you to join Afghanaid's Team. You will get all the same Team Afghanaid benefits and there is no minimum fundraising pledge. The ballot results are announced in early October. Join the Team 2. Afghanaid Charity Places Our places are filled on a first come, first serve basis - so get your application in quickly! To apply, simply fill out the form below to express your interest in running for Afghanaid and we will be in touch with more information about the application process. To join Team Afghanaid, there is a minimum fundraising pledge of £1,500 and £50 registration fee. We'll support you every step of the way. 2021 Application Form Why Join Team Afghanaid? Afghanaid is doing a phenomenal job in providing life-saving support and long-lasting solutions for vulnerable communities. It has been an honour and a pleasure to represent Afghanaid at the London Marathon. By putting on your running shoes for us, you'll be taking strides towards helping the most vulnerable people in Afghanistan live free from poverty. Nonetheless, we still had so much fun making the original date, Sunday 26th April, a day to remember.
